Well for one thing parts for a 1200 are very hard time to find in my parts . thre rack has less moving parts , & and makes for more room in my 1200.

I've seen them in Anglias and Morris Minors (which have a crazy narrow front track width) so I don't see any reason it couldn't be done in a Datto.

I know a guy that has a 60's Datsun roadster with a 302 Ford and he put a r&p setup in that, so I don't see why not.

Fatman, TCI, Scotts, and all the major MII front end guys can make a complete assembly in any size, I think it just comes down to money. (as always)

I'd like to see it if you get it done! You could also have some HUGE front brakes if you decide to go that way.

I'd really like to do this if possible. first I'm gonna get my hands on a rack off a mustang or pinto. That is what most hotrod builders use cause it's so versitile. Should mount fairly easy to the 1200 crossmember.I 'll just have to see about the steer shaft & colum.

I think you could use any aftermarket column. Borgeson or Flaming River make u-joints in nearly any size or spline sizes to adapt nearly anything to anything.

Check the track width on the Mustang II. It might be a bit wide for a 1200. I'm thinking the Pinto might be closer, but I'm just SWAG'n it here...
