Lessons Learnt.

Well folks
Some advice for the future. Dont drive a cab-over van or be overweight. And thats not for good looks. I had the privilage of dealing with a very messy MVA today involving a new toyota van and landcruiser. Drivers of vans dont fare well in head ons, and fat buggers tend to run out of steam. Just thought that I would share that since I dont want to see that again any time soon. Rock on folks

by datto1000wagon on 2008/6/8 22:30:21 Just thank your lucky stars that you came out unharmed. You have to remember that one of the purposes of a cabin is to provide protection to the occupants, and if the ute is totalled, but you are fine, then it did its job. And the police, well remember that they are doing their job too. Look at it this way, you could be in hosiptal with every modern medical miracle hooked up to you with 5 people buzzing over you, or worse. Sounds to me like you got a good deal.

My lesson learnt is not to buy a car on eBay sight unseen and rely only on the photo's supplied by the owner. Bloody photo shop mongrels.

Yeah my old man does accident towing for the RACV, generally picks up motorbikes and 4wds on the black spur, he's seen some horrible, horrible things.

Yeah by 'run out of steam' I mean die. Fit, healthy people are able to cope with trauma better than unfit overweight people. Their hearts can compensate better, organs such as the liver can release sugars and hormones to help the body cope with the drop in blood pressure and electrolyte levels. Also, it You can view topic.
