Did you see the other 1200? The wht sedan. I think its called White Zombie.
That would be interesting to see go down the drag strip.

I met John Wayland, the guy in the picture, yesterday. He seems like a regular guy, but is clearly excited about his sport (drag racing, car audio, electric vehicles). I guess most of us here in this Club might be considered a little unusual too ... for spending so much time working and talking about Dattos.
The photo was taken for a magazine article. I think the lightning bolts are for John's ability to call up lightning rather than the fact that the car is electric powered. There was the time John dropped a wrench on the batteries behind the front seats of White Zombie. A ball of fire appeared inside the car. To this day you can see the melted headliner and rear-seat trim, it is most thought-provoking to look at that twisted vinyl.I watched White Zombie go down the track several times yesterday. The eerie thing is the noise. A loud squeal of tires is the only sound, although there is plenty of tire smoke. This car is quieter than a 1200 with a factory Nissan muffler -- and they were very quiet when new, ya couldn't hear 'em idle. The electric vehicles don't make any sound at "full throttle". Well, most of them ... there was one Nissan Z-car there with twin motors running in parallel which had a very loud whine when moving. I'm guessing it was from two large cogged belts driving an intermediate shaft. Most of the cars had DC motors driving stock transmissions, although some of the high-power ones like White Zombie were direct drive.

Wierd,
I havn't seen an electric car in real life but it sounds surreal. I dont know if I would ever want one but he seems to be into them and good for him! It's cool that people come up with nams for their cars also, Chickenhawk, Guacamobile, Blue Thunder.... I think I'll call mine Green piece of S***. Until I finish it that is But is a car ever quite finished?... -SLAM You can view topic.
