Hi at the last rally I had a similar problem but instead of the bolts braking i had the chassis fatigue and crack. The two tubes that run through the chassis rail broke free and the whole bracket could move forward and back by about 20mm-30mm.

Luckily did not notice till we got it home and still managed to finish 1st 2WD and 5th outright.

Now i am trying to cut out and rebuild this section but finding it hard to get the placement just right.

Thank you! I'm glad to see a Phantom grip working that well.

Im 16 learning how things work, ive just finished building my 1200 ute with my old man after 2 years and chipped a piston not too long ago. So ive now got to build a completely new engine and trying to source parts. Money is pretty tight since i poured my last dollar into my car. (not even 1 thou km after rebuilt a12.0

A very sad update for the rally car....

poor thing needs new chasis rails... crumpling between engine x-member and castor rod mounts, wheels are hitting in back or arches and swaybar is touching the front of the sump....

lucky i bought a coupe of Tommo ages back just in case this situation arose

will have to book her in for a nose job... may not get rallied this year
