Ahhh good to hear mate! I was just thinking about this ute the other day actually. Got any pictures of it? You'll have to start a build thread! Or a 'finish Armie's f*ckups' thread, haha

Lol,
No pics yet, well I have a bunch but you'll have to wait until it's finished :) Hopefully within a month or so.

No f*ckups at all! The prep work you did was extremely good and have not had a single problem apart from surface rust.

If anyone has a fibreglass hardcover they want to sell me please let me know.

Thanks mate, will keep an eye on it :)

Sadly Armiee did not give me the crazy A12, the one he gave me looks like a boat anchor LOL.

I have a nice early a12 however it is a late a12 model ute so I'm not sure if Vicroads will let me register a 73 engine in a 85 ute.....

Shouldnt have a problem, I put a late engine with different x member in my 74 ute made sure they knew it was different and no problems. Only hint is if it's not regoed when you brought it make sure you have a receipt, that was the only problem I had when getting mine. My receipt was incomplete, luckily I had a nice old bloke. Haha

I think late into early is okay but early into late is not allowed due to emissions etc. Will have to give them a call.

I've stuck my old a12 in there and will build up the spare one and swap over down the track :)
