Hi Guys,

Well got a suprising phone call from my mechanic friend a couple months ago asking for me to come over to his place o measure up a car he has to stick graphics on, and to my surprise he bought me a DATTO!
As we were talking about me building another fast street car a couple weeks prior.

so this is her,Basically its a 1968 Datsun 1000 4 door Column shift auto body is extremely straight and has minimal to no rust, I think the previous owner attacked most of it as I can see a few repairs in the floor that are done quite well.has re trimmed white leather seats! all spares ar in the boot chrome strips, lights, interior bits and pieces tail shaft etc only things that were missing were engine and gearbox.

So we thought long and hard about the engine we wanted to drop in and ended up deciding on an ex hillclimb ca16det he had sitting in the shed,
the ca16det in the ex hillclimb car was told to be making 260rwkw's @18psi with all the fruit inside, we have pulled off the sump and inspected it all. looks to have forged pistons and rods, has reground cams, gtr injectors, microtech lt8 ecu and the list goes on!

modifications we have done so far,

fitted engine
fitted intercooler
fitted aluminium radiator
cut down hilux diff (5 stud 4.11)
sourced a bucket load of goodies :)
bosch 044 pumps, surge tank etc

modifications on the list

adapt the ba falcon front hubs, calipers and rotors
tail shaft
mount gearbox
digital dash
fuel system install
list goes on.......

Hopefully aiming to get it finished for brisbane jamboree this year in september.
we are expecting quite fast 1/4 mile time providing i get traction :P
