Alldat Posted on: 2003/1/13 21:28
I know that the 120Y Sway bar fits the 1200 and is thicker but what about a stanza sway bar. Are they thicker yet again and would they fit a 1200. Its just i bought a stanza for the head and struts but an wondering what other parts i can use on my 1200 sedan.
P.S if any one in adelaide wants some free stanza parts let me know i may be able to help you.

Considering the Stanza has a front-sump oil pan also, I'd guess it's a near fit, but only one way to find out.

i don't know what diametre the Stanza bar is, but I doubt they will fit. I think it will be too wide. If you've got the car, get a tape measure out... (120Y bar is 20mm)

Stanza is called "510" in the US -- 1978-82 or thereabouts. It's the one with the L-series four cylinder. somebody yell if I got that wrong!

Yeah,

Early 1970s 510 = Datsun 1600.
Late 1970s 510 (usa) = A10 = Stanza.

So there's the confusion solved. Nissan USA thought that people would be stupid enough to believe the Stanza was a 510 replacement...oh how misguided Nissan was in the late 70s..too much dope. Too much Hawaii-5-0.

Chris.
