Yep- was one more email before I cut it in, even briefer description.. I'm in the wrong trade! Thought I would leave that in, someone might get a laugh.DatsAndy- No other mods or massaging. I was hoping for a hole approx 80x80 but just kept cutting until I could get the cross member to bolt in.

correct me if i am wrong srb310
but as long as i can see u cut the member traveling from side to side of the car and that as long as i know plays an important part in the strenght of the car. how r u going to get that strenght back. i mean any modifications planed?

Yes, I have cut straight through the seat support. As per the engineers instructions i will be putting strength behind to rejoin the support, and then around the cut-out and basically boxing that section in. After that a thin cover sheet over the top.
The email from the engineer is a little hard to decipher, but will be checking with him before final welds are made. That support is mainly for the seats, but will probably be stronger than original when complete.

Maddat over here do a RX7 series 4/5 kit that will bolt in but i'll probably go for r32 4 spots or similar, have to keep it Nissan
As for the rears, a shortened Skyline rear may go in, so just the standard R31 discs from there will stay.. Still have a lot of work to do !!! Keep us updated on your build as well, always helps to see how other people are doing things.

z32 master is a bad idea, they are biased for a front heavy car and will be way out for yours. try an s13 one as they will be much better suited and are externally the same as z32
