The head on a standard bolt will not be round like a centerbolt will be, normally a slight bit shorter too. Just use one out of another spring pack, if you have available, most centerbolts are only grade 2 material.

Did you grind the nut off or the cylinder shaped side of the bolt?

is it bolt that is in the center of the spring pack or a rivet that is holding clip on towards the ends of the spring?

You need a centerbolt, other wise it won't stay centered to the axle, your block should have a nub on one side and a dimple on the other for proper installation. centerbolt should fit inside the dimple side of the block.

yeah the dimple is to far forward. could i drill holes either side of the blocks and put bolts there, so it wont go forward, and wont go backwards??
