okkk got a few updates

scored a commo sway bay to ty out on the coup ,it will fit and sit/mount in a different spot to factory ,infront of the castor rod chassis mounts

also got some rear wheels ,and a set of 17s for the back ,so im rolling in 17s atm ,ive got about 10 tyres i cant use ,cos im running my 14 inch steelys on the rear ,they will fit in the gaurds but will rubb slightly on the side wall

im not too fussed cos eventualy the tyre will be stuffed (3-5 laps maybe)

also ,ive done some work on my rear wheel arch and quarter today ,got the lip pretty good in steel and started bogging and asanding but i need to do another layer then resand it , engine bay is done ,apart from a rub back and bog that needs to be sanded on the drivers side to cover up some welds

i realy need a welder and someone who can weld before i do any more real work ,plus i need some advise on pulling/fixing a dent on the rear passenger side

its easily accessable from the inside ,and can be pushed out ,but when i push it ,it sits right ,then when i let go if pops back on straight away ,does that mean its stretched ?

also ,i will need to run low profile tyres on the front with some stretch to get some room for steering ,ive got 17x7s and i wanna put 215/40/r17s on them ,would i get a little stretch on them ? and ive been told by a very reliable source that low profile will reduce grip while fat tyres will grip and flex to the road abit ,what should i do ?

whos keen for a work day to get abit more bogging and stuff done ,i realy wanna get it in paint ,so i can put it all back together and start the interior and brakes/steering side of things !!! joy rides when done ?????

more updates to come and pics soon

cheers

Ok I have good.news

Was looking through the store room at Dads shop ,andi found some tie rod ends that looked like they would fit my tie rods and have the right taper to fit my s13 knuckles

Took them home and the taper is perfect and the thread fits too

So I gave it a quik wheel alignment and tested the steering lock ,it looks pretty good but at full lock the inside wheel can over turn

What I mean is the tie rod and the knuckle become parallel and then the wheel can be further turned at full lock

Anyways ,to fix this problem I need to make some steering stoppers to stop the wheel front over turning

Also ive got sr turbo brakes now so it should pull up good too ,they are noticable bigger and will fit in my wheels too so thats a bonus

Nah keeping the leafs and just using a single leaf with a help it ,that way the leafs pretty much just hold the diff in place ,next ill be making a panhard bar then the rear end will be done
