Well I had a little play with the harmonic balancer and a lathe. I thought I could save a little room between the radiator and the balancer by removing the first pullie. Well I thought WRONG. As I finished latheing off the first pullie I decided to clean up the face with a few slow passes and round off the outer edge. See below for the end result

On a good note I started to upgrade my fuel pump cradle wiring, the factory R31 wiring had gone hard/brittle plus its only like 3mm. I up graded my internal wiring to 5mm and the external wiring is 6mm. Next step is to cut off and drill out the factory steel fuel pipes and install -6AN bulkhead fittings. Then I can start running the braided teflon -6 fuel line to the fuel rail.

I inquired for a crank pulley only from one of the following links but cant remember which but wanted 100 posted to Oz. Then all you need is to machine what you dont want but I asked about a single pulley one and they said they need 10 minimum order.

Anyways just in case

Hay D, those pullies are nice and shiney but do nothing to reduce/absorb engine harmonics as there is no rubber ring between the inertia ring and the pullies. I might source a exa pullie as supafatto says they are only 2 pully or just bite the bullet and run a 3 pully balancer.

Hay oda70, the ross single pulley is a beautiful lump of alloy and steel, I'd love to have one but your right about the money, they do cost a bit, just over $500. Well worth every cent but I just cant justify that on mine, I didnt know about the ross made a 2 pulley setup supafatto, thats a little more in my price range. I will ring around and see if I can find a good 2 pulley balancer from a Exa and if not I might just go the powerbond 20% under drive 3 pulley setup, about $250 delivered. I know its 3 pulleys but I should be right for room...
