it is just colour coded, so theres not much use in it???

You do realise that when you cut it off, you have to weld the roof skin to the car the full length.
I cut it off on my 1000 wags and also cut it off on my old 1200 wags. The 1200 I didnt like the look of it once done, so I welded bar stock on to give it a smooth lip gutter look. I personally dont think the 1200s doors tuck in enough for the no gutter look, but thats just me.

yeah i did hear sometihng along those lines, thats the reason for posting this thread. so you think it wold b to much hassle doing it? i can understand what you mean about the doors not tucking in enough tho. have you got any pics of your 1200 wagon?

Cutting off 2 inches and then welding 2 inches as you go isnt too hard. The pain in the arse bit is getting it to look good and be straight. I am sure Flyby will agree that this part is the pain in the arse. You can view topic.
