My personal hates are arrogance, apathy and narrow minded people who are in conflict with change.

Being a newby on here and, up until a few months ago, not knowing ANYTHING about a 1200 other than that they are light and combined with a bit of work can absolutely FLY, I may be one of these new members that people were talking about earlier, that are getting on peoples nerves with our ignorance.

All i have to say is people like us have to start somewhere, and i can honestly say it's only been three or four months since i bought my first datsun, but it won't be my last and i have found something for which i have a passion i have never experienced before, except maybe for my other love, surfing.

So please, find it within to give people like me a go and i promise i will use the search button first before asking any question.

I happen to think one more datsun enthusiast is one more win against commonwhore and plastic glorified shopping trolley owners everywhere.

I apologise in advance for any future ignorant questions that i may come up with, but i have a lot to learn and only one way to learn it......by asking the question, wether it be to myself or others, and finding the answer.

I also thank every single person who has in the past, or will in the future, aid me in expanding my knowledge and bringing me one step closer to creating my very own rocket 1200.

On a lighter note that emu freaked the #### out of me. Bad-ass bloody birds they are. Forget pit bulls or rotwiellers, throw an emu in your back yard purplejim and you won't get no fu##er coming to steal your tie rods, i can assure you!

Cheers
Trav

You know what I hate? forum lurkers that have no intention of inputting any input (?) and just steal info. It's not cool unless those people are players who can find anything out about anything and gain some kind of street rep for it.

Yeah, definatley don't like the lurkers that wont even buy Datsuns

Hi Trav, being ignorant is not so bad, most people here will know that you are new, and will point you to the wiki, or advise you to use the search function, if you ask ignorant questions. I think what I was referring to, is people who seem to sign up to this site, make a max of 10 comments, all of them bullsh!t, and then bugger off.

I will never diss a new member, when they ask silly questions, and will try to give an informant answer if I know what to say. People honestly sometimes just don't see that there is a search function, and up until a few weeks ago I struggled to get to the wiki sometimes, and had to look for a link in the forums to get there. I don't expect any new member to just know that there is a wiki with all(almost) the info in it.

ddgonzal, dodgeman, would it not be worthwhile or helpfull to plaster a link to the wiki on the main page/menu to the left?

We love having new people on here, and as I said, we just have to ride these trolls out, and we'll be left with a whole score of new members that are only improving the club, and making it more exciting.

The troll problem is always much bigger when it's school holidays.

I'm with Mike
People who buy all the stuff on ebay they will never ever need #### me
You've seen them win an item and then they go and bid on the same item again
How many 1000 parts catalogues can one person read at once !!

This is just an example and not pointing the finger at anyone in particular

I usually just buy what I need
Occassionally a spare or 2 if were talking mechanical or suspension parts I'll need one day.
And I seem to give away or sell (for no profit) more than I keep lately

Totally good idea K! A wiki link on the left side bar of the main 1200.com site is a great idea.
