do a search on here mate for hyundai efi.
someone(cant remember who) was looking at the feasability to adapt a hyundai efi manifold to the a series. the hyundai unit looked almost identical to this mitsi one you have. just out of interest, have you got a round port gasket you can compare on that manifold? id like to see how close the intake holes and injector nooks looks in comparison

the hyundai excel uses the same engine, hence why it looks the same. Its a hell of a lot easier to find a intake for a mitsi 4g15 than it is a hyundai excel engine even though its the same engine if you know what i mean. I was looking for the hyundai unit for a while till i came across a mitsi dude that said "oh that looks kinda like a 4g15 manifold" and boom, i had one within a couple days!
I dunno if i have a round port gasket but ill have a look soon and upload a piccy if im successful.

righto, ive got an adapter plate and i spend three hours on the dremel today carving it up to fit. Im pretty happy with it now.
![]() ![]() ![]() ive done my best to straighten out the ports but some bends were just unavoidable due to the different port spacing p.s. Thank you very much to member 'teratonga' for that adapter plate

another update, i got the manifold holes drilled today, and some locating screws in the adapter plate (to ensure the ports are matched) and just general stuff cleaned up. I still have to grind a little crap off the manifold but ill do that after i upgrade to fully sealed safety glasses, the hospital wont want to see me for a third time with aluminium in my eye!! Standard safety glasses dont do jack poo
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() im pleased with the progress, its happening much quicker than i expected. Im also pleased with the port matching for the adapter to head as it wasn't done in place. My Megasquirt arrives mid next week tested and with a base map to suit my engine which i will start with. i also cleaned up the exhaust ports and gave them a polish, the aim is to prevent carbon build up more than increasing flow

Thats's quite a lengthy runner on this manifold. Should provide good bottom end torque. Since you've gone to the trouble of injecting your motor, it'd really be a shame not to super or turbo charge it now.

id love to but id rather spend the money getting the car on the road rather than a hot engine in a car i cannot use!!
deadline is march, ready for the april national morris minor convention in dunedin. It will be interesting to see how people look at it, there are many old people there who are originalists and would frown on a morry minor with a non-standard motor let alone a computer on board. Ill have two vehicles in the modified category hopefully, the ute and this one. The ute has a stock a12 in it.
