paint shop finally painting my car its all coming together hopefully decided to keep it and finish it as its cost me heaps and to sell it i would be loosing out big time

after being at the panel shop for the better part of two years and still not painted i have decided to get my coupe from the shop and i have recieved my money back and am going to paint it my self.my motor returned rebuilt 6 months ago,roll cage,diff blasted and powder coated and the trimmers are eagerly waiting on the car so now i plan to have the car painted with in 3 weeks time

been at it for 2 days now car has been blocked down with 180 then blocked with 240 going to give it 2 more coats of primer then block again to make sure there is no rub throughs and it is dead straight

car has been re-primed (2 coats) after final repairs and has had its final rub ready for paint just got to wet rub doors guards and bonnet after getting car back my candy engine bay was covered in overspray oil and grease,scratched, i rubbed it back so that it can be done again but i have been advised against painting candy as im only an apprentice,so im going with nissn 34gtr bayside blue.

ok heres the body rubbed down and all seam sealed ready for colour,put a little colour in engine bay to see how it looks,painted my dash frame with some airbrush work too looks cool test card is 3 coats of bayside blue over metallic blue base

didnt like the way that the rust wasnt repaired so i unpicked the floorpan and end sill sections to have them replaced doing both sides now there is absolutely no rust in my coupe at all

sill repair kit is tacked and ready to weld, cut floor pan to suit tommorw at tafe all ready to weld in all cleaned up.plate is made to continue into inner sill, the kit could have been bit longer it was preety rusty.get drivers side floor pan and sill kit friday hopefullyit only took roughly 3-4 hours to repair need to get sills done and re primed asap

passenger side floor pan cut to size ready to weld in at least i will be able to sleep easier knowing the rust is not there anymore.

been busy doing sills and floors but they are finihed now and i have started painting the car,engine bay done so far
