The E15T engine is in my experience very reliable, reasonably light, strongly constructed and worth doing as a replacement engine. I have one I built up in my VB11 van. On gas it made 180 FWhp with a modified T25.

The head problems they have usually result from cooling system faults left unattended such as clogged radiators.

Distributor problems result from moisture in electrical connections and distributor bodies. The dissys use a photo optical sender unit nearly identical to FJ20T and CA18DET's and are very reliable with good connections.

MRD (Murphy Racing Developments) in Bayswater Victoria has just run a high 10 second pass in their ET and it is very reliable.

I am looking at fitting one up with an A series 63A box to fit into a 4 door 310. I reckon they are great little engines that are under utilised for swaps.
