Even 2 girls shared 1 cup but a tea spoon? Was it a collectors one from some far off bowls club?

Unknown about the chassis numbers.
These are the only parts unique to the GX5: * 'GX 5 Speed' grille Badge * 'GX 5 Speed' boot Badge * Tape Stripe on sides (differs coupe to sedan) * F5C56 transmission (non-overdrive) and fitting parts * 5-speed dogleg Shifter knob (wood) * Highback front bucket Seats with cloth inserts, matching rear seat * Wood Steering wheel (GX-style two-slot type, but in wood)

See that's just what I mean. All 1972 1200s (even STD sedan) in Japan had the new lipped dash and the new hooded instrument panel. Not unique to the GX5. Only the ute continued with the bar-meter guages.
