you would think that the variance would not be significant. a couple of mm can be sorted by grinding. i would reduce the port holes a little and let everyone know they will need to be matched to their head. gaskets are universal and we buy them so i think what you have is good tnp. if its close we can make adjustments. as long as they match up to the studs!!

picko has a point.
I tested last night the A3 size template and got some variences when test fitting to my non-ported spare GX head.
If they can be made so that we can each modify them as needed, then we can just file and grind a little on them until they are good to go. The guys with the steel ones are going to struggle a little, but aluminium intakes ought to be easy to file and grind for a perfect fit.

if you're going to the trouble of building an inlet or exhaust wouldn't you do the job properly and match port them the to the head ?? especially if the heads already had port work done ?
also the variances shouldn't be that big of an issue ... you don't buy a gasket to suit the head you have, you buy a generic gasket for that particular model of head.
i don't think a little die grinder work is beyond doing the job properly

I agree with boof, anyone who is skilled enough to make their own extractors should be able to do a little die grinder/ file work. Perhaps they should be made around 2mm smaller all round to accomodate?

I agree that whatever engine it's going on should be matchported to suit.

I will do some tweaks and get some final prices ASAP! (I'll also get some Stainless flanges quoted - the laser place can do up to 12mm SS)
