Gday new member, looks like ive got myself a 1200 coupe (manual) lined up, its been in a shipping container for several years all original etc, tad bit of rust around the sills nothing major. Im planning on doing the CA conversion. What i want to know is exactly what i will need to complete this conversion in terms of parts, brakes suspension, conversion kits etc. Please help im a noob and any help is appreciated, could i if possible have approx pricing on what u would think the conversion would cost, please note the car would be ideally set up for circuit and hill climbs, any help much appreciated

Contact this guy...
NinjaDat's Big Sale Or at least read his post. My opinion is, that every year that goes by, the more difficult it is to find parts in wreckers, and the higher prices you have to pay for every facet of the project. You've almost missed the boat. It would be far easier to get an S13 Silvia and strip that down for a race car. It will definitely be cheaper.

Hey matbighat..
'old school fever' includes S13 .... some of them are 17 years old...almost legal.. Some fellas on here would have girlfriends younger than my CA18...

my advice would be to first develop an understanding of the mechanicals of a datsun 1200 coupe.. and also to learn a lot about ca engines..
it takes time to gain this knowledge.. but then if and when you do decide to perform the conversion.. you will know exactly what goes where and what bits you will need to make it work.. good luck either way
