I have had nothing but bad experiences with both Holley Blue and red Pumps, I had two fail due to over heating, and i had one seize during a race, leaning out the motor and blowing the top off a piston. Aparently the brushes are only glued in and come loose. After giving them three oppurtunitys The local Holley Rep said that they arn't designed to run on race /av gas.

I've had probs with the Holley pumps as well. Tim had a similar Mallory pump seize mid race too. Facet pumps do the business well, I have nver met anyone who has had any troubles with them.

I have the email adress of a bloke in auckland who makes front skirts like that. You'd be way better off to score one from the canberra car clinic. They are cooler in my books. Freight charges mean it's not worthwhile to bring one over here.
My understanding is that what kills vane type fuel pumps is stalling them. I have easyflo'd a return line into my tank, so that the pump wont get too hot. also 'cos even at full noise, my engine will never get even close to consuming the amount of fuel the pump can supply.

If you are running a blower with the carb[s] on the suction side, then you will NOT need a BOV as the boost is directly controled by the amount that the throttle plates are open, as these control the amount of air/fuel that goes into the blower. When you close the throttle, almost no air is admitted to the blower & the cylinders will normaly consume all the boost pressure within two crankshaft revolutions & your manifold will read negative boost. [vacuum] If the blower is of a positive displacement type, then you should get almost full boost within a couple of crankshaft revolutions after you snap the throttle open as the blower can now see an almost unrestricted supply of air/fuel mix, & as it is directly driven by the engine, there is no such thing as spool up time.[lag]

His set up is injected. I was thinking though. If you dumped the body of pressure between the pump and the TB, the blower would take less power to spin. And you might (Theorieticly) lose fewer revs on gear changes. Unless you were flat shifting, in which case it wouldn't matter anyway.
