hey all, got my coupe shipped up here from brisbane. $650 to get it to my house, took it to mechanic for roadworthy nothing major, had to take 2.5 inch lowering blocks out (had to steal the old U bolts from my wagon to replace the giant ones that were wrapped around the blocks), wasnt too happy with the "bird poo" weld he had to put over some rust on the chassis, but i finally got her regoed last week soooo stoked! couldnt drive her much becuz of the cyclone coming and i didnt wanna get her wet, but after the rain i took my baby out for a drive HAHAH wat fun it is to drop her in 2nd round a slightly wet corner! (im not normally a joy rider but it was definetly called for seeing as i waited a whole month to get her on the road since purchase) then took her down the main road only to be driving next to a 1200 ute, the 2 dudes both turned their heads and gave a wide smile.. i love my datto coupe, sooo glad i bought it ... pity i reversed it out the gate with the door open this morning and bent the door back dinting the front quarter and losing abit of paint straightened her out and applied some touch up paint, door rattles abit, but all good im over it... if u dont have a datto and are thinking about getting one my advise is DO IT!!! - just talking to myself - osmo

Good on ya Osmo. I find my car is pretty fun in the wet but you should see how it eats up the miles on a drive out to the sticks....
p.s. oh and there seems to be some interest in your wagon in the local car club I'm in

yeh respect from fellow datto owners is definetly a good feeling, shes such a beautiful car.. it makes me feel soo much more sorry for a mate of mine who wrote off his 1200 ute 1 week after completing his ca18det conversion (we dont talk about it)

Its quite obvious he means it behaves in the wet like a 500hp car in the dry. Its only a saying.
