Castor/Tension/Radius Rods

This are my N320 Ute tension rods and one broke off on the thread area, now these are no longer available at nissan or auto spares shop
I'm thinking of 2 ways to do it 1. looking for a similar one at the wreckers and cutting them and welding/joining it to the right size. 2. Getting new one made from an engineers shop (costly) anyone have any suggestions? are they standard castor rods , if so i would have a second hand set laying about not in use

520/521 and 620 parts will be close enough that you should be able to make them work
mainly in that yours has SAE thread and the later stuff is metric.

Would it matter if i get metric ones? its just a matter of replacing the nuts right
