$1.70 for 91 like 1.75 or so for 95/96.
Pretty intensily ####ty. I usually fill up 10$ and that gets me the week and most of half a tank (6.6 ltres approx) and now i only get about quater a tank or so (5 litres and a bit or so) and i have to fill up all the time

Nowdays I am used to the weekly routine of 70 or so dollars to fill my hilux. I just think of it as, me doing my part for the government.

In my town the average price per litre .81 or 3.07 a gallon for 87 oct and 3.27 a gallon for 92 oct or .86 cents a litre

That would be 86 cents per Litre $US, which, at todays exchange rate is $1.13 Au.
That puts it a little more into perspective for Aussies & shows that it is still quite cheap in a global perspective.

By way of comparison, Cheater_5's $1.75NZ converts to $1.47Au for a litre of motion lotion.

I have been paying $1.40Au per litre for regular grade fuel around here.

I'm paying $0.76/liter USD = ***/liter AUD. The actual price is $2.959/gallon USD, but there are 3.87 liters to a gallon i think.
[edit: it's actually 1.03 AUD/liter]

That's at the least expensive place around: ARCO (Atlantic Richfield, a BP company). Unfortunately it is double what it cost a year or so ago. It is "regular", the lowest octane, which is 87 using the R+M/2 rating system. Hi-octane is about 10% more expensive.

USA: bottom line. Top lines are various European countries:

Maybe one reason it is relatively cheap in the USA is because we have large amounts of oil ourselves, and only import a portion ... and the government doesn't take much tax on it:
WA State Gasoline Taxes
Total (state + local taxes): 49.4 cents/gallon ( 9.7 cents/liter AUD)

How much is the petrol tax down under?

Of course there's always Venezuela, where the retail pump price was only 12cents/gallon last year.
