Hey bro, the bushing you machined for me worked PERFECT! And thanx for the picture
of trans. one little goof and it won't go. got it back together bolted to motor and both went back in tonite. need some fuel line but stores were closed when I got there, Good Friday parts run!!

don't have much of anything left now, I have an A15 that needs a rebuild and a couple radiators in need of a rebuild. Several electric fans if you want to do that upgrade.

Is there a significant gain on switching to an electric fan?

Also, what has the US 1200 owners been using to help lower their fronts? I got some 14" from a 240z and I got the rears to fit but the fronts wouldnt fit because of the brake calipers is on the way???

Any ideas?

Some torque freed up with electric fan.

Easiest way to lower is to get a coilover kit. Spacers are kind of a way of life, every datsun show i go to i look and nobody has wheels that fit properly.

I've heard 240z springs might be the right size after having some coil off.

I had to grind a bit off of my calipers to get my wheels to fit.

With an electric fan, I like that there is less hanging on the water pump and my fan belt is set a little looser. My water pump should last forever.

ang94541 - do you have pics of your calipers after shving? are you still using your stock brake setup?

B210 - do you have a parts list for your front end conversion?

decide how much $$ you have.

cheap route: ~ $300 USD
get coilover conversion kit for 1200 struts
might as well get camber and castor plates ( get ones that adjust both if possible... )
might need bump steer spacers

more expensive and involved route: ~$2000USD
81 280zx turbo struts - shortned with 240sx adjustable struts and coilovers, wilwood brakes, bump steer spacers, etc... camber plates, adaptors for the wilwood calipers, stainless lines

if you only want to spend about $300 then the cheap route is good, but your choice of strut cartridge may not be good.

that is the advantage of the more expensive route, is it uses parts that are easier to find and have more performance parts.

the expensive route makes a really nice feeling car. try 150# springs not 200! car is kind of rough for our bad roads, but the car actually feels very tight at 95 mph.
