A10 to A12 - Factory Manual

Head Bolts -> 32.5 - 36 or 39.8 ft-lb (higher rated torque was hand drawn into factory manual by Nissan Mechanic)
note: centre-distributor side head bolt is different to the others in A10/A12.

Rocker Arm Shaft Bolts -> 14.5 - 18.1 ft-lb
note: should be done outwardly, starting at the centre bracket.

Are these torque settings the same for an A15 motor???

All head bolts on the A15 look the same! Can anyone confirm this?

We know the oil galleries from the top of the head to sump is different between the A12 and A15. I can't remember the difference as I've never owned an A15, and never needed to do anything except do oil changes for the A14 engines that I've had..

one of the head bolts should have a hole in it, or be thinner in the shaft, something like that, its one of the middle ones... sparkplug side? and goes into a oil gallery.

just something I noticed when finally putting the head back on my a14.

I was going to start a thread asking for valvetrain bolt torques... now I dont have to.

Considering that the car will sold next week, I really do not want to spend extra money, hence trying to get some specs of this website. Buyer is getting the car at a good price meaning that Im loosing enough money!

In terms of one of the head bolts being different, I will analyse it tomorrow! Im pretty sure they are all the same!

A14-15 head bolts have a "13" on the top. not sure about A12s , one of them is "recessed" ,that is the center one.
