I have to say I am a bit sceptical, if you could do that with electrolysis of water you think it would have been done before, but I am an eternal optimist, so I hope its the real deal.

i wonder what the structural formula is for this HHO. it must be like a hydrogen bonded to an oxygen and then another spare hydrogen atom? mite try it in google to find out more obout this. just think of the moey this bloke wil make wen he sells himself out to every oil refining company in the world.

now that i think about it......
it takes a lot of energy to break a single covalent bond for 1 water molecule. now all that energy is needed for every 1 of however many billion molecules that need to be split. if you had this much energy in the 1st place, why waste it on splitting a water molecule when it could be used to propel the car in the 1st place??
secondly if it is real then how come we havent heard about it in australia?

i'd like to believe it is real, that the world may finally have an alternate fuel source, but until i can find out more on it, i dont believe.

It has been around for a long time. Its known as the hydrogen fuel cell.

but water isn't really whats powering the car. You need electricity to break the water down into hydrogen and oxygen. Thats really where you need your energy input. Electricity doesn't burn, so if you want a combustion engine, you can't use electricity. you use water, break it down to hydrogen and oxygen (requiring a significant amount of power) then you combust the hydrogen and oxygen, changing it back to water and you get your energy back out. Of course you loose some energy in the process as no energy transfer is 100% efficient.

basically it becomes no fuel bill, big power bill...

probably still heaps cheaper though!
