Hey there. I am doing a ca18det conversion, and dont happen to have any spark. I did have the car running, but had to remove trhe engine last week and do the front and rear seals. Now back together and loom conected, good eath contacts, but no spark. Can i do a process of elimination of troubleshooting? appreciate any help. thanks

no spark?
1. is ECU lit up? (should flash some sort of lights. Starter motor is usually on a separate circuit to ECU. 2. Is there voltage at the coils? (should be 12v on one of the pins with ign on) 3. Detecting the switching (pull to earth) signals needs a CRO. 4. Is the transistor-pack earthed? Does the battery have more than 9 volts with ign switch in IGN(ON) position? Low voltage will stop ignition working. I'm assuming that you've pulled spark a plug, and tested at least one of the coils to see 'no spark'. Check your fuses. A short circuit 02 sensor heater can cause te ECCS fuses to blow. If you find a blown fuse, try starting the car with the 02 sensor disconnected. You can view topic.
