Now for more A14 fun for the coupe: OK It appears I have sourced a complete GX set-up for my 1200 coupe. Problem for those with LHD cars is master cylinder clearance. I believe I saw pictures of MattBigHat's coupe were remote resevoirs were used but the master cylinder itself stayed in the stock location. So if Matt or anyone else can confirm the GX carbs and Airbox will clear with remote resevoirs let me know or if you have an alternative let me know.

i used the f10 remote brake fluid reservoirs. i believe you can still buy them new from nissan

i still couldn't get the factory airbox to clear, so i used bugpac air cleaners and hose clamped them to the air hitachi air horns

thanks to the ~45

Just get some K&N or RamFlo air filters and you're all set. They should fit fine. You'll need to figure out provisions for the the PCV clean air return but that shouldn't be too difficult. I'm using RamFlo type filters on my work in progress.

remember the 1200 and b310 are different. there may be enough room on a lhd b310 to run the factory gx airbox

Thanks Matt I new you had done something near stock.............moving the brake master requires quite a bit of fabrication , wanted to avoid that.

No prob. My setup worked for Hitachis, but not for sidedraught carbs. For that you'd have to do a Tilton setup like on cel's car.

I remember the angled manifold and if one pops up cheap I would probably snatch it up.Meantime I will stick to my policy of bolting on whatever parts come cheap.

you'll like the hitachis, but you'd love the sidedraughts

as for the angled intake manifold, no one's stepped up to to make one or say they know where to buy one since i first posted that pic

Huh? He's talking about a 1200 right? What's that got to do with a B310?
