What 1200's came out with centre consoles fitted as standard?

Where can I get hold of one as I desperately want to put one in my Ute!

yeah i was wondering too. i think it was 1200 coupes. my mate had a coupe and every person who seen the console said he should put a speaker where the datsun logo is, it gave me the ####s. i later worked out it was for a clock in the better models

Hey I got a B110 parts book from New Zealand delivered today.

I can answer this question.

They are referred to as a "Console Box"

There are 2 types:
a) A flat simple one with a change tray, and a gear shifter boot.

b) The curved one that covers over the bottom of the heater box.

Both sorts had a boot for manuals
Also came in an Automatic option

This was offered in in the following cars:

Sedan
a) option in manual
a) standard for auto
b) 0ption in GX sedan with Datsun plate.

Coupe
a) option in manual
a) automatic
b) Manual 07/72 onwards
b) Coupe 07/72 onwards

I can't see any options for a clock in any of the models. But I've seen the optional clock on ebay a year or so ago, so it may have existed in Japanese domestic models.

It's referred to as the:
Nissan Publication Number "C-0030R"
Datsun 1200 R-Drive PARTS CATALOG Model B110 SERIES. About 800 pages double sided, foolscap. Printed in Japan in English.

I've got a Factory 1200 Workshop manual too from a year ago.

I got it from an Datsun fanatic in Christchurch via Ebay. I bought some other 1200 parts off him, and I asked him if he had any other 1200 bits.. It's a bit tatty and used, I had to pay US$50 for it, but I guess when things are this rare, price is hard to judge. Every Datsun Service Dept would have had one. But I guess they probably got thrown out over the years..

Just to add my bit I put one of these consoles in my old 1200 and i also had 2 coupe dashes 1 with clock and 1 with tacho!
I unscrewed the datsun badge from the console and the clock from the dash fitted as the mounting points were there to fit the clock. Then I just wire up the clock and I was off and racing!

hehe, I've got a console with the factory clock. even works perfectly!

It's no longer in my coupe of course, but safely tucked away in the shed. somewhere...

all australian coupes had tach dashboards. some later utes had the same style dash with a clock instead of the tach.
