back to the origional post. I reccon for about 1300 bucks you could get a disc brake conversion and if you hunt around you could pick up an A14 and jam it in for SH#T's and giggles. Maybe an exhaust to suit (extractors could be pushing the budget unless you can get em cheep) And this all depends if you can turn the spanners yourself.

I'd recommend the A14 engine change over too, if it's the first mechanical project you've tackled - maybe start with an exhaust and carby upgrade, a 32/36 seems to go well, some reasonable tyres and you've have spent that $1300 before you knew it.

The A14 conversion would probably cost more than $1300 if you were planning on rebuilding it first.
