i've been trying to find a high quality tyre in 195/45/15 but with not much success, i've found details on a yokohama A539 but none of the tyre places (4today) i've visited can help me with them best i've had offered are a nankang ns-1 195/45/15 and after looking at thier site i've come across this one, the nankang ns-2 185/45/15

anyone have any comments on the nankangs ?? or any details on the yoky ?? .... or any other tyre brand that do this size ??

i would ideally like something along the lines and style of the old yokohama A008r's

Yeah, I've been digging around second hand tyre stores and have found a couple of sets of 195/40/14's in various brands, if you are stuck for brands in your preferred size give them a go.
I've used Nankang's before and they were fine, a bit like a hankook, soft and reasonably grippy. but that was 185/50/13

Cheers

yokies over nankangs any day... lots of complaints from nankang owners.
Even the fulda excellro is better than the nankangs... can get them in 195 45 15, from goodyear i think, or bob jane.

I've got two tyres listed at work

195/45ZR15 GT Radial Campiro328 if its a ZR rating apparently its rated to over 240km/h

Also got a 195/45R15 Continental SportContact listed

Don't know about the continentals and other people have said the GT's are #### - but I've had em on my 1000 for a year now and they grip well enough for me with good tyre wear so far - add to that they are half the price of the lower rated continentals and I give them my vote

i've had a look at a couple reviews, mainly uk ones, on the nankang ns-2 and most read similar to this thread ?? those who have used them don't mind them for what they cost, around $130aus, then there are those who reckon they're junk
yokohama's have got the name and reputation but also the price tag to go with them .... will chase up about the GT and the continental tomorrow and also push to find out a price and availability on the yokohama A539 ........
oh the fun

any more opinions are more than welcome to

i've used some continental's before and they were magic. i think they are used on all the euro cars and i expect they'd cost a bit...
