Dont worry Harry is just comparing to his now 4wd handling GTR not as fun as the 1200, it sticks to well!

Yea, Harry is right at cornering speed at that hieght its not too flash. But it can be put right with some $$ and fixing up with the right stuff. Its abit of a cheap lowering job ATM!!... shortend struts etc soon to come

nah mate, my old 1200 handled better than the GTR. In a (dry) flowing twisty section, the 1200 would leave the GTR behind. Anywhere power comes into it would be a different story. The 1200 was faster at the dirt autocross track too! (see avatar)

I haven't really done many events since Bathurst last year. 3rd outright (and a class win) on the Mountain Straight hillclimb has been my best result so far.

I was 4th outright at the dirt sprints, but I ran on my worn out street tyres, where everyone else runs semi slicks - the dirt track gets 'rubbered' up like a speedway circuit. might not have won, but I had alot of sideways fun!

I've done a couple of Hillclimbs, and finished 2nd in class (AWD turbo) to the record holder both times. Last time I was 10th outright, which is not too bad considering how many open-wheeler hillclimb specials turn up. The record is a couple of seconds faster than my times, but that's from a WRX setup solely for the hillclimb, with ultra soft compound tyres, 6spd dog box etc etc. he makes 2 gear changes up each hill - and there's 3 hills. I make 2 gear changes in the whole run! but the GTR is basically standard, so i can't really complain about its speed. It needs some suspension tweaking to get more out of it I think.

I might do a run at Morgan Park in the next month or two. See if I can win something!

I'm thinking about building another race car - miss the stripped out 1200. The GTR shows its weight at Mt Cotton hillclimb. I also miss rwd... the GTR on semi slicks has too much traction :(

but if I do build on it will probably be the HR30 coupe that's been sitting in my backyard doing nothing. Should be able to get that light enough, and either a hotted up L24 6cyl turbo, or maybe an RB25 conversion... I wouldn't rule out another 1200 at some point though.
