Well... are they anyone?

They bolt up the same but i was just wondering as the A15 has the longer stroke that maybe the conrod mite hit on the baffle or side/bottom of sump..
And are the A12 and A15 oil pickup the same dimensions etc.?

Cheers
Dave

EDIT: oh and do they hold the same quantity of oil?

The late A12 and A15 sumps should bolt up the same, but the A15 sump has bulges in it for the rods.

The A15 sump will fit & work on the A12 engine, but the A12 sump will fit, but not work on the A15 engine.
The extra long stroke of the A15 crank means that the side of the rods will hit one side of the A12 sump. That's why they put the bulges in one side of the A15 one.

P.S. The pan rail on the oil pump side of 1200's & A10's is different, so the only interchangeability with these is between each other.
