These are basicly a variant of the L series family, so the conversion is prety much the same.
These engines are quite good, but with their single cams, they just don't have the glamour of the twin cam CA, SR & FJ engines.

They were good enough to give the V8 boys a real fright at Bathurst, back in the day, when they looked like they might take pole position, so if you have one in good shape, want to save a dollar, & be an individual to boot, then go for it.

cheers for that,
i want enough power to give some people a run for their money, but im not interested in turning it into a car that i cant just drive normally....
roughly how much would it cost for the conversion do you think?

Now that's a hard one. The price to do the conversion is dependant to some degree on a couple of variables,... like
Do you already have an engine, &/or a gear box. If so, do they need to be overhauled or repaired? Do you have a reasonably equiped workshop & the knowledge & skills to do the job yourself with help from your mates.
Depending on what you alrerady have, & what you can do, the cost can run from hundreds, to many thousands.
If you plan to have it done professionally, then get at least a few estimates, with actual quotes prefered.

cheers heaps
basically all i have to do is get the parts i need for the conversion, one of my friends can put it in, and another one knows how to wire it all up.. and then just blue plates and all that crap afterwards...
cheers for that dodgeman!
