Ive got a 1972 1200 wagon and just put an A15 in so i wanna upgrade the front drums to discs aswell.
Ive got the disc brake struts from a 1200 ute ready to bolt in but im not sure how theyre gunna go with my single master cylinder. I know i prob should put a dual master cylinder in but can anyone tell me if its going to work with the single?

No you need a different master
JB1117 is the cylinder you need (one of many you could try but in unboosted form this one bolts straight on) You'll need to remove the line pressure valve out of the front circuit You'll also need to do some plumbing

What exactly would happen if i did just bolt the discs on now though?
coz a few people have told me that it will work with the master i have now. I only have 3 weekends left to do it as the track day is coming up and the car is also my daily driver

It will work. The bias will probably be out.
The main reason though is that discs require more pressure than drums do as they are sort of self boosted. One shoe drags the other in the drums meaning less pressure. Using a single with discs you run at a higher risk of blowing it and having no brakes at all. You can view topic.
