Hi there,
I was wondering if maybe anyone could help me on a little crank problem I am having. As you probably know by now I am running the A15 motor with 1200 gx head,284 degree camshaft with nissan E15 turbo, clutch and pressure plate.I would like to know if it is possable for me to run my crankshaft on roller bearings. Any help regarding this would be greately appreciated.I would also appreciate it if you guys could help me on all the terms that you use for your engines and stuff, as I am from south africa and we use different terms and words for the same things as you. Thanks.

roller bearings are often used in motorbike engines but they have split cranks that press together. I can't imagine how you could do this to an A series engine. With five main bearings you would compromise the strength of the crankshaft.
The outside diameter of the bearings would be quite large which would necessitate new main caps and line boring (if you could fit it all in) What problem do you have that prompts you to ask?

I thought regular bearings are stronger than roller bearings, but that roller bearings are more efficient (less friction).
