A nit of luck i dont find a buyer, then i can keep it !

Good to see that your in Melb too... You may get some business out of me if your ute comes up nicely, and my datto doesnt sell... Wouldnt that be a shame, the car doesnt sell, so i have to keep it lol...

Before anyone asks its on the market cos im really short on cash... I dont really want to see the car go, but need the money,

this is looking sweet and cant wait to see more. . . . . . . also how do you plan on leaving the metal parts that you are sanding eg. hinges are you painting them? Wont the just rust if you sand them back and leave them polished? Awesome job keep the pics coming!

hi there all back again,
to answer disndat yes they would rust if you left them just polished,im going to 2 pak clear all my polished parts to seal them up,

and how do you sand the dips and curves well its very hard!!!! you can use a dremel with a wire brush on to clean up first and then the sand paper by hand!!! it really hurts your fingers after along while of this so im having a small break till next week ,so yous will have too wait to see more of the polishing till then!

but today i busted my balls and got the utes drivers door in primer from bare metal stage was a hard hall but managed to do it ,now all my panels are getting doulble puttys this means that they get primed blocked back and then primed again then rubbed and painted ,so if you hear me burbling on about double puttys etc you will know what i mean!!!!!

and heres that door,it turned out ok still not fully happy with it ,but hopefully after the double putty ill be more happy about it,any way the door was bare metaled,
a small spot of rust in the lower front corner grinded out and patch welded in,then body filled ,then etch primed then 2 coats of 2 pack primer over the repairs and 3 over the whole door inside and out and there you have it one door 1/2 way done ,well more like 3/4 done will do my best to finish it tomorrow,

glad to see some people are actualy reading all this,ii was woundering if i was just burbling on for nothing!!! any way keep watching people next week i should have the full alternator polished and also a thermostate gasket too that im working on ,all very slowly moving along but it will be done ,

some thing else that ive been thinking about and that is doing a rebuild on the 1200 engine that i have, now im not to sure about this at this stage as i was more concerntrating on the overall aperance of things ,but i think it would be fun to learn abit more about the motor too,all dependes on how much it would set me back and how long it would take ,especaily cause i have to fitt it in some where in between polishing parts ,paint ing parts, doing panel work, doing full uphostery and interor work, and doing mechanical stuff to,so i have a hell of alot to do and im only one person so i can only do what i can do,but

has anyone rebuild an a12 and if so how much would it cost me and wheres the best place to sorce the parts from?????????????
