Well,... I broke an original windscreen along the Hume Highway back in '80 & I have had two flat tyres since then & a leaking head gasket. I had a fan blade come off while overtaking at high RPM in my 1000 sedan, but just unbolted the remaining broken blade & refitted the other one & away we went. [1000's have two steel blades, each like an airplane prop, making a four blade fan, & they are separate, I lost one half of one of these so just remove the crook one & refit the good one giving me a two blade fan] Ummmm, I guess that just about covers it. Pretty boring, Hey.

The only mechanical problems we've ever had is one alternator , a radiator in need of a flush and bad float needles in the GX carbs....that covers the last 20 years
I've had the H145 LSD in my 1200 since 91 , some , 75 autocrosses 45 races and 15 track days later it's still going but I come from the old school of being gentle with the drive line and the motor only pumps out 85 HP.

I've broken something, but don't know what yet. Two weeks ago, I went over a speed bump (sleeping policeman, or whatever you call them down there). It was a nasty one, and was going way too fast. Now, loud graunching from the left front when you turn the wheel, and over 100 clicks is impossible, wheel starts hammering up and down. Seeing as how some PO cut the front springs down, and could have even taken out the bump stops, what do you reckon is the damage from bottoming out? (will start teardown tomorrow)

Silent Cop. They are/were a raised disc in the center of an intersection that gave a reference to divide up the road into [unmarked] lanes & to provide a rounding point when making a right turn at the intersection. [Left turn in left drive countries]

Behind 1 A15 powered 120Y(B210):
16 Gearboxes, 2 H150's
Of those Gearbox's, 4 were 60 series.
When I had gearboxes fail, it was the carrier bearing collapsing. Run a few bearings through it and good to go. My brother used to take teeth off 2nd. He is also responsible for the Broken Diff's.
The diff was replaced with a H165 and the engine with an A12/60-series. Gave many more years of service like this. . . Was the "loaner" that wouldn't die.
It all comes down to driving style. . . my brother also shattered the crown and pinion in my R31 skyline. He also sheared a selector fork roll pin and was stuck in second once.
I don't think he will be driving any of my cars anytime soon. Damn engineers. . .
