I have only just discovered this thread- awsome work!
I will be tuning into this on a regular basis!
I know you are a painter by trade, but have you given powder coating any thought for the parts that will see alot of wear and tear?
I recently had some rims done in black on my wrx for $200. Got them back the same day i dropped them off and they came up a treat.
I considered painting them but was told that powder coating was much stronger than paint.

cheers mate as for powder coating .yes it is a bit stronger but to do all my parts would cost a fortune and then i wouldnt actualy be doing much work myself,as this is a restoration and then sale the idea is for me to keep my cost as low as i can and ,by doing as much as i can with my own hands im saving heaps on taking all my stuff here there and every where, and besides that why would i want to pay some one when i have the skill to do it myself!!cheers for the comments ,heaps more to come yet .

Evilbetty I've re-uploaded a 16 megabyte version of your video, its at:

Shrunk version of video

Its a bit easier on the bandwidth than the 130meg version :) Can't wait to see the finished product, keep the updates coming.

I'd love to know where you plan on mounting the LCD screen?
