If you look carefully at the center of the Globe wheels you can see that it has a raised rim around the point where the spokes join in the middle while yours don't look to have this raised piece. As you say, it must have proven to be a popular style & both companies used it with subtle differences to avoid legal drama's, but who copied who?
My wheels have the Globe name cast into the rim at the back, but not the model name for the wheel.

i'm going to stir things up with a non- datsun daily driver.

Forgive me as i needed a car with 4 doors... as the ute was not really practical for the family.

I still miss my 1200 ute, and am looking for another as we speak.
