That must have been a steep down hill. I could barely get 5,000 RPM's out of a stock A12 on the interstate in fourth gear,
94 MPH. 6,600?

A 3.3 diff same revs give you 163mph or 302kmh. If you have Microsoft Excel, I have spreadsheets you can download to do this yourself, so you can throw in all sorts of
tire sizing, gearing, etc and see what changes affect what. Pretty handy.

Yep, my calculations come out to about that (130mph). Which engine was this? If it was a nonturbo sub 2-liter that should be enough for a class record
- or damn close!

This was with a rebuilt/balanced A15 engine, bored .020" over, street cam, and Weber 32/36 DGV. I was going down a slight downhill, but not much from being flat. My redline is a little
above 7,200 rpm, so I don't think the SU's and header I added will get that top speed any higher, but it will get there quicker. If you built an A12 (or A14) to get the same kind of
power as my A15, you could go faster, as the A12's rev a lot higher.

Andrew,

so in comparison to standard turbo, is the housing the same? Does it produce a noticeable increase in power/ decrease
lag compared to standard?
Might be willing to buy it.

We have our Bathurst 1000 annual event here in Australia, and back in the 70s, 1200s (A12) used to pull 11,000 revs down 'conrod straight'. I never heard them, but it sure would
bring a smile to my face if I heard them today.

I also did a speed check on my A15 1200 coupe down the M4 freeway.(right passed the olympic stadium for those that dont know) I was suprised that it pulled fairly well to 100mph. It only has
a 4 speed and stock diff and the A15 it stoc aswell. The only reason i stoped is because i have retreads on didnt want to pop a tyre at 100mph! That would be quite nasty i think. Im sure it
could have gotten to 110-120mph no probs.

Im sure with the new motor in, it will pull real hard all the way to 100mph+.

Don't forget to mention they won their class 5 times out of 6 with the sixth being a disqualification for not allowing
an engine check!!!!

the turbo bolts up exactly the same I have a picture on my webpage of difference and also dyno run with power increase show power increase was huge even with low boost there is
hardly any lag even at idle the turbo spins pretty fast and takes ages to wind down.

With the dyno printout the stock turbo run was with 4.6 diff the GT25 turbo was with 3.3 diff
