mark1200, it would be wery intresting to see some photos of your project. I think using A15 piston in A14 gives you 7:1 compression ratio, which is goog for turbo use.

I also have already finished my A14 turbo projekt with 2 dellorto 40 and some little
IHI turbo.

I pressume it is a factroy manifold.
It has 'japan h92' cast into the top of it.
Not sure what year, model or country it is from.

is it possible to source bits elsewhere? i dont really know much about injection but basically would it be suitable to get gear off another motor and then have a manifold made and just use it?

if so, which would be some of the better cars to get it off?, some guy responded to a wanted add i put saying he had r30 (i think) skyline injection and that if i could use that to contact him, do you reckon this gear would be helpful to me?

I know a guy who made his own manifold and fitted the injection off a camira to his car.
His is a turbo morris 1000 ute with A12 and turbo.
So I'd say you probably could use it if your willing to make it work.Though I'd go with bits from a 4. I'm not sure if the 6 cyl stock ECu could be repro'gd

If your just talking about using the manifold off the skyline, then yeah it would be useful as you could get the Throttle Body, Throttle Position Sensor, Air Temp Sensor and the injectors which would flow plenty of fuel for an A series.
But if your talking ecu and all this is another thing. If it could be recalibrated then ok but if not it would be to much work. As for injector pulses all you would do is leave two sets of the injector wires loose and not use them. But as for ignition you would need to change to a modue from a CA18 so you could run only 4 coils ,or you could just put a single module to run a single coil and distribute it through the dizzy cap like normal.
Then there is the airflow meter which would need to be swaped or re-calibrated to read the correct flow for your engine.

But if it is just the manifold you speak of i say yeah get it and chop it up and make it fit your engine.
For mine I made my manifold and sorced parts from various cars and will run it all from an aftermarket computer.

I'm busy putting an ECU together using a 8051 processor and some maps I've found on the net, just want to know if someone somewhere did the same...I do not like re-inventing the wheel, unless my wheel could be a lot cheaper
