try gt17 off a late model saab, these turbos are just about the smallest ball bearing turbos u can get from garrett.

they would rule on 1.2 - 1.4 to give an idea my old mans saab boosts about 2,000 rpm on a 2ltr.

oh and did i mention they are cheap and T2 flange :)

Thanks for the info....

Im looking for a turbo that will boost on an A12 at about 2-2500rpm...

I think if the 2ltr SAAB boosts up at 2000rpm, a 1.2ltr wouldnt boost up till 3200-3600rpm...??

When you say cheap, how cheap?? Not so much for myself, more for other people later on if all goes well...

Youve definately got my attention...

what about a gtr turbo??? the 2.6 uses a twin turbo setup so one of them should work great on a 1.3 litre...

u will just need to adapt a wastegate actuator that runs lower psi... such as a starlet...

i have seen these go for $200 each in good cond..
usually one of them blows up and both are replaced leaving 1 good one..

by cheap i mean i've seen lots go on ebay for just over $100.

theres one there for $60. I would have thaught they would have boosted earlier than a t2.

I remembered last night that I actually have 2 GTR turbos lying around... I had a look this morning but they seem to be much bigger than the TD04 I have on my other car with the A12...

Im thinking about trying the little turbo off a 550cc Daihatsu Mira...?? Ok it may be small and loose a little grunt up top, but when you think about it all I am trying to achieve is perhaps 60 or 70kw atw...

Starting to think its worth a try... what do we all think?? Everything else seems to be just that little bit to big for an A12...

Topgear, T2 is definatly the go. I had one on 1.8 rodeo on blow thru, and had excellent drivability. If you find one, I have the dump pipe for the exhaust housing you can have.

Here is the dirty old engine that I am going to fit this to...

Yea, im starting to think the T2 is the better option now I think about it...

I have a KKK K03 coming from a friend, when it arrives I will take it with me to the wrecker and compare it against the T2 they have...

I think the T2 is probably the go, as they will be more available and "cheaper" than the K03 off an Audi... And if you use the 550cc Daihatsu Turbo on an A15 Im nervous about how long it would last???

Where are you situated dog160??

wouldnt the GTR turbos be equivalant to a T28?? cause its seqential they still need to be big to boost at the high revs?

GTR turbos have a smaller exhaust housing than the T28 on an SR.

$450 for a T2 is silly money. Try Ebay as you often see turbos on there for reasonable money.

If all else fails grab a T25 from a CA18DET. They are sighlty bigger than want you want but decent ones only cost $200.
