my father in law was looking at a Disco I told him if he bought it I would divorce his daughter !!!

Man, thats the best. I would be in hospital if I said that to my girlfriends dad, but I would have to be either high or delerious to say something like that to him (he's a big guy)

If you are considering buying a Rangie go up to the biggest person you can find and ask them to kick you in the balls for 2 hours straight.
This will be significantly less painful than owning a Range Rover...........

Here is something else to bear in mind, german cars use Bosch electrics, Jap cars for eg Honda use alot of Nippondenso
and Pommy cars use Lucas also known as the prince of darkness.
Apparently Lucas has produced a three position headlight switch they are labelled off flicker and dim

i like range rovers
i say you should buy it.

They are great off road, great on road, sound awesome and the toyota's are just as prone to breaking down. But yes the parts are expensive

When I first started doing parts (Honda) I quickly memorised the fast moving items basically service items IE filters and brake pads but when I started doing Landrover the firts part number I ever learnt was transfer case oil seal (ERR7043) now I have not done parts on these pieces of #### for 10 years but that number sticks in my head.
two things you are assured to see is a Landrover on tiltray and a mitsubishi broken down on the side of the road
cheers ade
