#1 Wanted Alloy H165 centre, but found Alloy H190 centre...
Topgear Posted on: 2006/9/12 7:28
Went looking at a wreckers for a Alloy H165 diff, I couldnt find one but as I walked out there was an old Datsun1500 ute, stuck my head under the back, gave the diff centre a scrape, and to my surprise it was an Alloy housing... BINGO!!

Not really what I was looking for but thought I would grab it as they are hard to find...

Topgear that is the exact diff I run in my ca18det 1200 the width is spot on (around 20mm wider than stock) they run 29spline axles and are 4.625:1 ratio. The 720 series datsuns and early navara centers fit giving you a choice of 4.11 4.3 4.625 4.825 and 5.1 only the 4.6 is alloy and unfortunately the crownwheel and pinions are not interchagable. If you happen to make a LSD to suit this I would be more than happy to purchase one.

The diffs will fit the only probelm will be if they have the center rubbing block for the axles to locate. The axle flange is shimed to give the tapered bearing preload you will figure this out once its all appart. If the centers your are building will work let me know.
Cheers Andrew
