I dont know if anyone has posted something like this before but i'm curious to know (and i'm sure the other members too) who here has timed their datto down the 1/4 mile. If so, what times did you get and with what running gear?

We might even find out who has the fastest 1200 in the club

i havent yet, itll be too slow, but upcoming grudge match between me and an 1600cc escort and a 1500cc AE85 sprinter, should be good.
anyway the old idrag 0-1600cc N/A RWD NZ champ was a dude called Dan with an A15 1200 coupe running 14.5.

My stock CA18DET 1200 Sedan did a 15.0, 98mph. Plenty of wheelspin, and crunchy changes to 2nd and 3rd.. I couldn't believe how slippery the start line is. It was heaps of fun though. This was on a University Student Budget

I think Andrew's modified CA18DET Coupe has done a 12.0 at ?116mph? at Eastern Creek.

My new 1200 should do 11's or 12's when it's finished. When?? Soon!!

Chris.

Sorry I know your after 1200 times but my rotary 1600 did 12.0 @ 219 kph on a G-tech. Should be able to get a 10 on decent track and slicks. Will find out soon!

The Lime green 2-dr sedan in the Photo Album did 13.9 in the 1/4. Not bad for a street-legal road car -- but then Texas cars are the fastest o' course.

Compare that to a stock 1200 Coupe: 1/4 mile: 19.6 secs @ 67 mph. Hang on!

The guy who taught me 'bout datto's ran a 12.7 with an A/15 on the 1/4 Mile at 198Km/h. That ute had turbo and nitrous on it with a modified lock diff. Me I could only master a 15.1 with the turbo.
