my first was a 1200 with an A15 however it wasnt till i sold it that i was told it had the A15. went througha few other cars then decided nothings better than a datto. since then ive had 2 1200 coupes and currently have a 4 door sedan in original condition. did have a CA18det to put in it but ran into finacial trouble and had to sell it. im now about to rebuild an A14.

Welcome from my side, seems like everybody turns to datto's this year, maybe we can get Nissan to make us an updated model just like the VW and mini's

I heard somewhere that Nissan IS reviving the Datsun name. I even heard that a "nostalgia" car is in the works. My bet is the 510 (1600) and not the 1200 will be their choice since the Z-car has already been resurrected with the 350Z.

Oh yeah, welcome to the club.

Yes, a return of the classic -- they could call it the Datsun Rentro -- the new Sunny "Lil Somethin" sports coupe.

Image a rwd fastback Sentra: air bags, carpeting, a mere 2600 lbs, 2.0 liter engine, and CVT transmission like the Murano. Sign me up!

Yep, I too read a press release last week with Nissan saying they are reviving the name. I would quite happily drive a retro styled 1600/510 , cos it would make a nice change from all the jellybean cars on the road now..The ultimate would be a 1200 coupe with an SR20 and 5 speed and an updated interior. It would'nt be too hard to tool up for as they must still have a lot of the tooling from the utes..
