i know of 3 in the area around me, mine it was originally red, another red one and a black one all coupes. I have been trying for at least 4 yrs to track down the black one. It was once for sale in a car yard advertised as a SSS coupe!! I found my GX by accident after it was dragged out of storage due to the rent not being paid. A good mate was working next door and wandered over to have a look. The owner was in a bind and wanted the car, stripped to the shell to go to a good home. After a short talk the car was mine.He gave it to me........it was missing it's motor and trans but otherwise it was all there in a pile of boxes. I didn't realise at first what it was until he produced the unique grille and dashboard insert. It had a standard bus steering wheel but again as luck would have it found the correct wheel hanging in a garage a 5 hr drive away.I worked out the other day it has been nearly 2 yrs since I touched it. All I have to do is drop the engine back in it and it's done. Too many projects not enough time !!!

There is one for sale in the current Trading Post for under a grand. I called about it .It sounds very tired. Flat battery no rego flat tyres. He sounded negotiable though. It was his late fathers car. If you are super super keen I'll post the advert details. (If I can find it!)

Yeah that's the bit I had in the middle of my grille.

Does it stand for a GX or SSS?

Same as mine too

This is what they looked like out of the factory. Even '70s photos don't do the colours justice.

The one I have is a genuine GX as well, or rather was, I sold the complete engine(including SU's), gearbox, badges and other bits and bobs, that was stripped out to make space for the 4AGZE, for R400... mmm, that's about $90 Aus...

Maybe I'll get banned for doing this...
