Obviously the "mouth" runs a small block chev powered 1200. Where are the pics....I wouldn't mind seeing them.

Or is it he drives a bog stock Hyundai with 10,000rpm monster tach stuck on the dash, and just dreams of one day putting a chev in a car which he clearly finds offensive.

hahahahaha DTW thats a classic, yeah it must be school holidays in Brissy OR this guy is a wannabe dreamer. He doesnt have a car obviously....otherwise he would be paying greater respect....people like this either come have their little say and they go or they take some advise on board and say well I can respect your view etc etc and they stay and become good mates....the ball is in his court.

Exactly converted. My brother is full time into building drag cars with his current project a blown hemi powered fiat topolino. I can appreciate drag cars as well as circuit cars.

Let his next post be pictures of the famed small block chev 600hp methanol datto. I'm curious to see it.

He rants about doing what he does because he doesn't want to follow rules. So I gues he doesn't like Steve Reid, or Ben Bray, or any of those like minded guys who run doorslammer or top fuel because they "follow rules"

I suspect that whatever car he has simply wouldn't comply with any "rule".

Let there be pictures.

Wannabe.....exactly.

Well there is a Gary Dares running a 383 Chev powered 1200 Sedan at Powercruise 7. I have posted a couple of pics in the gallery, some other cleverer bugger can link them to this subject. It looks like a nice car, but I would have built it a little lower , my taste though! As for his theory on vehicle dynamics he needs to reread his mechanics textbooks.....the front spoiler will help direct air around the front of the car and stop air running under the car and unsettling it.The rear spoilers is really only for looks and will only start to work at higher speeds. The flares will be helping redirect air as well. As a power man I am sure he has checked out the wheel wells of the top doorslammers and funnies to see how subtle changes make speed.

i see your point. to dat383 an aero kit that i am looking at putting i am only aiming at increasing stability and therefore loss of under/oversteer you would be amazed at how much a race car "floats" on a race track and all that i am aiming to do is to reduce this in some small way. did any of you guys notice that in the formula one speed atempt of 400kph at boneville they wernt using any aero kit this is because it reduces drag not to run an aero kit but the car comes more unstable and this is why at the end of the run the car spun out. with an aero kit the car sticks better to the road even at low speeds and this gives more grip which equalls better lap times. im sorry to onlookers i only intended for this thread to find info on where to buy an aero kit for my coupe but as well other people have stated other things that have come out the wrong way in the eyes of some people. people think before you act please

see the thing is with drag racing and dont get me wrong, is that for all the work time and $$$ you spend on your car you go to the track and have maybe 4 passes for the night with and equivalent for 40 secs of racing time. Great for spectators sure, however a short 10 sec burst a few time a night doesnt cut it for me to invest that sort of time....
even supersprints or rallying is still a bit pedestrian to me.
Dat383 have a look at this video of the guys I race against and tell me this isnt crappy.....
IPRA unders chase

i see what your saying converted and agree that for time and money spent drag racing can leave you wanting more.which is why i was so pro powercruise.all us guys who only get to run our cars for 10 secs at a time get a chance to take them to a track and play up.
