I'm searching for a smaller size tacho. Not bigger than 3&3/4. I'm looking at an "R Type" which reads to 11 thousand revs. I think that would be way to optomistis with my stock L20b. I think i would redline at half that! Just wondering what you guys were using and if anyone has had any bad experiences with any particular brands. Cheers!

i run tacho, oil, and water guages ... all autometer 2 3/4" i think ?? tacho goes out to 8000rpm but has been known to not have enough numbers to keep up with the engine

Autometer would be the pick of the bunch. The other one i looked at was a "Speco" or somethin like that. Both had at least one shift light. What is the point of all those colours?

theres a nice 2 inch one at super cheap for $50, no shift light but has its own case. not bad, pretty accurate for what it is and small enough to mount on top of the steering colomn shroud without blocking any of the other important bits. plus that puts it in your line of sight for the other guages.
other wise the speco one for around $80 from repco is not too bad either. depends what you want.
